According to the Constitution of GREF, the Forum can decide to establish working groups on specific items. Currently GREF has four working groups: one on technical issues, one on information and statistics, one on gambling addiction and one on illegal gambling.

WORKING GROUP ON TECHNICAL ISSUES
A Working Group on Technical Issues will monitor technological developments in the gaming business (machines, Internet, on line terminals, wireless applications, etc.) and may propose common standards on technical issues. This working group is co-chaired by Jason Lane (States of Jersey Gambling Control) and Peter Geertsen (Netherlands Gaming Control Board).

WORKING GROUP ON INFORMATION AND STATISTICS
A Working Group on Information and Statistics will develop and maintain a common reference framework for information sharing and statistics. This working group is co-chaired by Christina Hagen (National Gaming Board of Sweden) and Reto Brand (Swiss Federal Office of Justice).

WORKING GROUP ON GAMBLING ADDICTION
A Working Group on Gambling Addiction will monitor and report on prevalence studies, preventive measures and treatment programmes. This working group is co-chaired by Sören Meius (Ministry of Finance Estonia) and Ruth Callaghan (UK Gambling Commission).

WORKING GROUP ON E-GAMBLING ISSUES
A Working Group on E-Gambling Issues will monitor national policies regarding E-gambling and may develop a common framework for standards. This working group is co-chaired by Morten Rønde (National Gaming Authority of Denmark) and Mark D’Andrea (UK Gambling Commission).
